Hi there!
I'm Kate! It's so nice to meet you
I’m a Registered Dietitian, and the owner of Your Kidney Dietitian: a virtual nutrition practice based out of the windy city, Chicago, IL.
I teach people with kidney disease how diet changes can improve your labs, slow disease progression, and help you feel better.

My "why"
Why I Do What I Do
When I first began working with people with kidney disease 7+ years ago, it was in a dialysis clinic. Many patients came to me afraid to eat anything at all for fear of eating the wrong thing. In that role I helped hundreds of patients understand how to feel their best on dialysis with the power of food.
But I started thinking – what about the 37 million people living in the United States who have pre-dialysis (CKD stages 1-5) kidney disease? Could I help them slow disease progression?
I had to do *something* about this crazy notion! And thus, Your Kidney Dietitian was born.
Today I help not only patients with CKD, but also folks with a variety of kidney nutrition concerns, ranging from transplant to kidney stones to kidney cancer. It is truly my honor to help you with a nutrition plan that has the power to utterly transform your life.
My Approach
Knowledge = Power
Make Peace With Food
If kidney disease has you feeling afraid to enjoy the foods you once loved, we’re going to tackle that head on. Helping you develop and maintain a healthy relationship with food is fundamental to my approach.
Rooted in Reality
Does that resonate with you at all?
If so – and if you’re ready to finally feel confident in eating the best foods to help your kidneys – let’s chat.
